What happens at a coaching session?

Usually a 1 to 1 session of 1-1.5 hrs

You tell me what you want to achieve from the coaching

I ask questions and actively listen non-judgementally

I may challenge you and give you constructive feedback

I encourage you to reflect and learn from your experiences

I help you find solutions and explore the advantages of different options

I help to motivate you to carry out the actions

The sessions are confidential unless there is a risk to life or illegal issues
What do you need to do?

Make time for the sessions - I usually suggest 3 - 6 to start with

Carry out any follow up work between sessions

Be honest and open

What Coaching is not
Coaching is not counselling or therapy.
Coaching is not being told what to do! It is based on the belief that most people have the answers themselves, but need the time and space to develop their ideas and sometimes help with confidence and motivation.
